Albany High School

Albany High School, a Georgia School of Excellence, is a progressive high school with an emphasis on academic studies. Students may select from college preparatory and/or career-prep diploma tracks. Programs are also provided for the accelerated and gifted as well as for students with learning disabilities.  Albany High houses the High Honors Magnet, a school within a school, which offers rigorous college preparatory courses in English, Languages, History and Mathematics.

Albany High works extensively with business, community agencies, local colleges, churches and civic groups to provide mentors and monetary rewards for at-risk students. Albany High School has active sports and band booster clubs as well as an active School Council.
