Michael Windom serves as
Chairman of the
Board of Education. Mr. Windom serves as the Director for District 2 of the Georgia School
Boards Association. He is a deacon at Friendship Baptist Church.
Michael
Windom is a 1976 graduate of Lane College and holds a B.A. degree
in Sociology. He has been recognized by the National School Boards
Association (NSBA) with the Award for Distinguished Service. Windom
was nominated by the Georgia School Board Association for the award
that recognizes "unparalleled commitment to America's children
through school board leadership and service."

Dr.
Richard Anson serves as Vice-Chairman of
the Board of Education and the at-large member of the school
board. He is a retired professor and past Chair of the Criminal Justice Department at
Albany State University. He
is a member of the Board of Directors of Communities in Schools, is a member
of the Advisory Board of Partners in Excellence, and a member of the
1992 Banner Class of Leadership Albany. Dr. Anson attends St. Paul's
Episcopal Church and has served on the Board since his election in 1996.

is a practicing attorney who also serves as

Sylvester and Warwick. He is a member of the Dougherty Circuit,

Rev. James Bush was elected to office in 2004. He is the owner
of Bush Ventures, Inc., a business consulting firm. Bush is a former
Albany Man of the Year and an inductee into the Albany State
University Hall of Fame. Bush is a former Dougherty County Police
Officer, a former Dougherty County Commissioner, and was Congressional
Aide to Congressman Charles Hatcher for 12 years. He has served as a
member of the First State Bank Advisory Board of Colquitt, Ga. Bush
serves as pastor of the Greater Pines Chapel Missionary Baptist
