Child Nutrition Services - Let's Move! and MyPlate

Quick Links

Let’s Move! is a comprehensive initiative, launched by First Lady Michelle Obama and dedicated to solving the challenge of childhood obesity. Combining comprehensive strategies with common sense, Let's Move! is about putting children on the path to a healthy future during their earliest months and years by providing parents with helpful information and fostering environments that support healthy choices. Providing healthier foods in our schools. Ensuring that every family has access to healthy, affordable food and, helping kids become more physically active are goals of Let's Move!.

Everyone has a role to play in reducing childhood obesity, including parents, elected officials from all levels of government, schools, health care professionals, faith-based and community-based organizations, and private sector companies. Your involvement is key to ensuring a healthy future for our children. Will you join us? Please visit www.letsmove.gov, for more information.

MyPlate is the first step in a multi-year effort to raise awareness and educate consumers of every age. We’ll continue working closely with First Lady Michelle Obama’s Let’s Move! initiative and other stakeholders to deliver tips and information necessary to adopt healthier eating habits balanced with physical activity. Please visit www.ChooseMyPlate.gov for information, tools, and “how-to” materials about healthy eating. While you’re there, check out the customizable Daily Food Plan and Food Tracker. We hope that MyPlate becomes your plate in the months and years ahead.
