classes with 26 children per class. The five teachers are:
Room 210- Antionette Hurley Room 209- Denise Cooper Room 207- Senovia Mosely Room 212- Martha Owens Room 208- Jennifer Lewis-Polite Our curriculum is packed full with so many new and different things to learn. In Social Studies we learn United States history.... beginning with the early European explorers, moving through the settling of the thirteen colonies, fighting for our independence, and working our way through a new nation and government. English classes not only teach proper grammar usage and writing, but also the use of the Grammar Rock CD-Rom keeps us "rocking" with all the parts of speech. Science is a lot of fun while we do hands-on experiments, listen to guest speakers, and watch Windows on Science Laser Discs with topics such as electricity, nutrition, the solar system, weather, and energy. Reading takes us to so many new and different worlds. We explore with Pippi Longstocking get to know different authors, float with Mary Poppins, grow up with Laura Ingalls, and follow the determination of Nellie Bly. Our Accelerated Reader program is going great! Students are constantly reading and taking tests. Our new Math text keeps us busy adding, subtracting, multiplying, dividing, and THINKING through to find solutions to all word problems. As you can see, there is a lot going on in the Fourth grade at Lincoln!
