Choosing the Next Book to Read
I know some of you are having a difficult time
choosing your first book of the school year. I have
two sites to share that might make it easier.
Literature Map allows you to
put in the author's name that you like and it gives
you an entire word cloud of other authors similar in
writing style. The closer the author's name is to
your favorite the more alike they are.
This site asks you to enter in a book you enjoyed
and it gives you six to eight additional titles that
readers have labeled as something similar. If you
click on one of the recommendations it moves that
choice to the center and gives you six more choices.
To the side you will find Amazon reviews of the
books.

Media Center Hours: About the Media Center: Staff: The Media Center is staffed by Mrs. Allyson Jones and Mrs. Cristen Everett, certified school library media specialists and by Mrs. Nona Jernigan, a media assistant. Book Returns/Lost Books: Students are welcome to come to the media center whenever they need to select new materials. Books may be checked out for a 10-school day period. Magazines and reference books are available; however, they are generally not circulated. Students are responsible for paying for any overdue, damaged, or lost items.
