The Beta Club at Morningside Elementary School is not only using community service as a way to build a better community, but to also teach students the importance of being good citizens.
The group recently visited the residents of Wynfield Park Health and Rehabilitation Center to bring joy and goodwill to residents there.
The Beta Club is bridging the gap between students, schools, and community by engaging in community events. So far this year, the group has visited and served at the Food Bank, Nursing Home, and has volunteered for the Salvation Army. Through these experiences and others, the group is hoping to enlighten and educate students with positive ways of giving back to the community.
