The Dougherty County School System was approved by the state board of Education to become a Charter System in 2016. This designation will create opportunities for autonomous flexibility at the school level for all schools in Dougherty County. Our schools will have more freedom to innovate, exercise local school governance and gain broad community support to improve student achievement.
It's the goal of the DCSS to provide resources, information and tools to help the public to understand and support the district's implementation of its charter.
