The Dougherty County School System’s long standing partnership with Albany Area Primary Healthcare through the School-based Health Centers initiative was featured as a part of the Georgia Department of Education’s “Reimagining Education” Conference this week.
The wildcats ended the season ranked among the top 4% of Lego League teams in Georgia.
About Alice Coachman Elementary School:
Alice Coachman Elementary School was named for Alice Coachman, a native of Albany and the first black woman to win an Olympic gold medal. The school opened its doors on August 23, 1999, with a strong commitment to a quality education for all of its students. The school's mission is to provide an opportunity for students to learn in a safe, structured, orderly environment with strong emphasis on a firm foundation of knowledge, high academic achievement, and a variety of educational experiences that will lead to personal success.
