Lincoln Elementary Magnet School stresses teaching for an 80% mastery in the basics of reading, mathematics, and writing. All subjects are taught through whole group instruction with efforts continually made to meet individual needs.

Parents are offered conferences every nine weeks. "New Parents" (to Lincoln) Orientation, Open Houses, four special programs by students, volunteer workshops to assist teachers and a guide of 21 suggestions to assist parents to match their skills and expertise to the school's needs as they volunteer.

The PTO is a vital, active organization providing financial and personal support for school activities. The school has approximately 300 regular volunteers giving over 2,000 hours of effort.
