Monroe Girls Basketball Standout Kenzia Williams Signs Letter of Intent
Kenzia Williams, a standout on a talent Monroe Girls Basketball Squad, signed a national letter of intent to take her game to Chattanooga State College in Tennesee Wednesday.
Williams is excepting a full scholarship to the school, she said during her event. She also took time to encourage her fellow teammates and underclassmen to listen to their coaches and take advantage of opportunities to shine on and off the court.
For the 2020-2021 season, which was partially interrupted due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Wiliams averaged 12.5 points per game and 3.4 assists per game, both above national averages.
Over her career, she played 35 games averaging 12.4 points per game, 3.5 assists per game and 2.4 rebounds per game. She ends her career at Monroe scoring 435 points, 83 rebounds, 122 assists, and 68 steals.
Head Girls Basketball Coach Jennifer Acree said that Williams has told her that she is considering coming back to Monroe as a coach and teacher.
