Sherwood Acres Elementary School first-graders concluded a Social Studies Unit on culture by “Traveling Around The World”. On Tuesday, August 28th at 12:30 p.m. in the school cafeteria, students had the opportunity to strengthen their understanding of culture by granting them the pleasure of tasting foods from different countries and dress in attire from other countries.

The menu consisted of Chicken Fried Rice (Japan), Pizza (Italy), Quesadillas (Mexico), Strawberry Short Cake (USA), and Green Tea (China). The students have enjoyed learning about the traditions, customs, and celebrations of other countries and are excited about the event.
