Sherwood Acres Remembers 9/11 by Giving to First Responders
Sherwood Acres Elementary School remembered the terror attacks on September 11, 2001 by taking a moment of silence and honoring first responders. Sherwood Acres Elementary faculty, staff, and students met at the flag pole Tuesday, September 11th for a moment of silence, and to raise the flag to half-staff in remembrance of all those who lost their lives 17 years ago. Teachers and students handed out free coffee and donuts to law enforcement and first responders as they arrived at the school. First Responders also received a basket of goodies and cards made by our students. Dunkin’ Donuts, a Partner in Excellence provided the coffee and donuts.
