Antonio Guest Jr

Albany, Ga. — Monroe Comprehensive High School announced that Student Body President Antonio Guest, Jr. has been selected to the 2025–2026 Georgia State School Superintendent’s Student Advisory Council, a statewide group that provides direct student feedback to the Georgia Department of Education.

Guest is one of 79 students chosen from 1,235 applicants statewide to serve on the council. Members meet with State School Superintendent Richard Woods during the school year to share real classroom perspectives and advise on the impact of state education policies. Students on the council also serve as ambassadors to their schools and communities.

A senior at Monroe, Guest serves as Student Body President, Senior Class President, and is the founder of the Monroe Golden Gardeners service organization—leadership roles that reflect his commitment to student voice, service, and school pride.

About the Student Advisory Council

The State School Superintendent’s Student Advisory Council brings together high school students from across Georgia to discuss education issues, share feedback on state policies, and elevate student perspectives directly to the Superintendent and GaDOE staff. Council meetings are held during the school year, and members act as liaisons between the state and their local schools.

For Monroe Comprehensive High School and the Dougherty County School System, Guest’s appointment underscores a continued emphasis on student leadership and community service.
