If so, the Social Studies Fair may be the perfect opportunity for you to showcase your creativity, curiosity, and research skills! All interested students are invited to attend our Social Studies Fair Interest Meeting this Thursday, October 22, immediately after school in Room 412. The meeting will conclude by 4:30 PM. During this meeting, students will learn about Social Studies Fair project requirements and guidelines, explore and brainstorm potential research topics, and receive important information about project expectations, timelines, and available support. Important Reminder: Students planning to attend must make arrangements for transportation home promptly at 4:30 PM.

🎀💕 PINK OUT DCSS! 💕🎀 Robert A. Cross Middle Magnet School is going PINK in recognition of Breast Cancer Awareness Month! 

Good afternoon, Robert Cross Families, This morning, an unusual odor was detected in one of our seventh-grade classrooms. As an immediate precaution, students were safely evacuated and relocated to another area of the building. The fire department, DCSS Police, and Facilities responded promptly. All classrooms and surrounding spaces were checked as an additional safety precaution. No active fire was found, and the affected classroom was inspected and cleared for occupancy. Although the room has been cleared, we have elected to keep students relocated for the remainder of today as an additional precaution. Students are expected to return to their classroom tomorrow, provided no additional concerns arise. The safety and well-being of our students and staff remain our highest priority. Greetings, Robert Cross Families! Due to impending weather conditions, Albany State University has officially canceled its Homecoming Parade scheduled for Saturday, October 10, 2026. This cancellation impacts our Robert Cross Dance Team, Cheerleading Team, Pageant Winners, and Grade-Level Winners who were scheduled to participate. As a result, students will NOT perform or participate in Saturday’s parade. We sincerely appreciate the preparation, excitement, and support of our students, families, and sponsors. Thank you for your understanding and continued support!

This is a friendly reminder that **Monday, October 5th, is a Remote Learning Day.**

Students received learning packets on Thursday and should complete all assigned work. Please also encourage your child to **check Google Classroom through DCSS ClassLink** for additional assignments and updates.

Let’s keep the learning going! Students are encouraged to utilize **i-Ready, IXL, Magma Math, and Vocabulary.com** to strengthen their skills and continue making academic progress.
