Attention, Eighth Grade Parents!
How would you like for your child to obtain money towards his/her college education? Well, if the answer is yes, your child may be eligible for REACH Georgia.
REACH Georgia is a needs-based mentorship and scholarship program that provides scholars with the academic, social, and financial support needed to graduate from high school, gain access to college and achieve postsecondary success. Upon successful completion of the program, qualifying students earn a $10,000 scholarship ($2,500/year for up to four years) towards their educational costs at a University System of Georgia or Technical College System of Georgia institution or an eligible private postsecondary institution.
Good news! If you are interested in your child being a possible candidate for this program, our School Counselor, Mrs. Ethridge, provided all homeroom classes packets TODAY to take home with them! Please ensure you review all eligibility requirements before completing the packet, as students must meet all requirements!
Once the application is completed in its entirety, please return it to Mrs. Ethridge, no later than Wednesday, September 17th. The form will then be included as part of your child’s eligibility requirements and future documents for the REACH application process. Incomplete, late or non-completed forms will NOT be considered.
Thanks for your support!

Dear Parents and Guardians,
September is recognized as School Attendance Month, a time to highlight the importance of students being present and engaged in school each day. In middle school, regular attendance is especially critical, as students are developing the skills, habits, and knowledge that prepare them for high school and beyond.
When students attend school every day, they:
1. Stay on track with lessons that build from one day to the next.
2. Develop responsibility, organization, and time management skills.
3. Strengthen relationships with teachers and classmates.
4. Build the confidence needed to succeed academically and socially.
