This October, we’re celebrating Bullying Prevention Month with the theme “You Belong Here.”
We’re helping students learn the power of kindness, friendship, and including others.
Ask your child: “What’s one way you made someone feel like they belonged today?”
Small acts of kindness make a big difference — at school and at home. -DCSS

September 2, 2025
Subject: Reminder: School Uniform Policy
Dear Parents,
As promised, we will continue to uphold our school’s uniform policy. Beginning tomorrow, Wednesday, September 3, 2025, any student who is out of dress code will receive a dress code violation letter.
We kindly ask that you help us uphold this policy by ensuring that students arrive in proper uniform attire each day. This includes refraining from large monograms, oversized initials, non-uniform colors, or personalized alterations that do not align with our dress code. Please also remember: all logos on clothing must be red, white, or royal blue and no larger than a 2-inch square.
Our uniform policy is in place to promote academic focus, reduce distractions, and foster a sense of unity and equality among all students. When students are dressed appropriately and consistently, it helps shift the focus from fashion to learning and creates a culture of belonging and school pride.
We have allowed time for families to ensure compliance, and we sincerely thank the many parents who have consistently supported our uniform expectations. By honoring our dress code, you help us maintain a focused learning environment where students can give their full attention to academics without distraction.
Your continued support not only strengthens school pride but also reinforces the importance of responsibility, preparation, and academic success. Together, we can ensure that every child is ready to learn and thrive each day.
Additionally, we will celebrate students who are in dress code daily throughout the school year as a way to recognize and encourage their commitment to our school standards.
For your convenience, we have attached the Dress Code Violation Letter as well as the Uniform Policy for your reference.
