Also, we are pleased to share that three of our community partner agencies will be onsite at the Family Resource & Support Center (FRSC) during the dates and times listed below. These partners will be available to connect families with valuable resources and support services.
FRSC Location:
722 Corn Ave
Albany, GA 31701
Schedule (8:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.):
Tuesday, January 27, 2026: Open Arms, Inc.
Wednesday, January 28, 2026: Strive 2 Thrive
Thursday, January 29, 2026: Albany Housing Authority
Partner Agency Descriptions:
Open Arms, Inc. provides support for abused, homeless, trafficked, and at-risk youth (ages 0–24) and families. Services include emergency and transitional housing, assistance for abuse victims and teen mothers, outreach services, and essential supplies such as diapers and hygiene items.
Strive 2 Thrive is a community-driven program that supports motivated individuals in moving out of poverty through coaching, training, and ongoing support. By partnering with volunteers, organizations, and local businesses, Strive 2 Thrive offers a “hand-up, not a hand-out,” helping Albany families work toward long-term self-sufficiency and stability.
Albany Housing Authority (AHA) provides safe, affordable rental housing, Section 8 vouchers, and homeownership opportunities for low-income families, the elderly, and individuals with disabilities. Serving Dougherty County, AHA also offers community support services and works to strengthen neighborhoods.
We encourage families who may benefit from these services to stop by the FRSC during the dates and times listed above. This is a valuable opportunity to connect directly with partner agencies and learn more about available resources.
