Great Day Hawk Nation!

NO ART CLUB TODAY! Please ensure your scholars know how they will be getting home.

There is after school tutoring. All scholars must be picked up by 4:30pm.

The Boys Basketball Team has a game today against Lincoln. The game is at 4:45pm at Merry Acres Middle School.

Alright, cool cats and swell gals — are you hip to your jive talk and do you have your coolest threads ready for Sock Hoppin’ with Mom? Get ready to cut a rug, twirl those hula hoops, play fun games, and have a real gone blast. Don’t be a square — be there! February 5th.

Parents and Students!! The time is here!

What is the Spring Ball? LOES Spring Ball is a fundraiser. Students who become a contestant will raise as much money as they can so they can be crowned as the winner for their grade level. Students have until March 20, 2026 to raise money to win. A Miss and a Mister from K-3 will be crowned, fourth grade will be crowned Prince and Princess, and fifth grade winners will be crowned King and Queen. It is an amazing experience for the students to dress up and participate in a formal occasion.

There will be amazing prizes! At the first meeting for parents of students who participate, we will give prize information. The first meeting will be held on Tuesday, February 11, 2026 . This meeting will be virtual and will last about 30 minutes.

Open Arms, Inc. provides support for abused, homeless, trafficked, and at-risk youth (ages 0–24) and families. Services include emergency and transitional housing, assistance for abuse victims and teen mothers, outreach services, and essential supplies such as diapers and hygiene items.

Strive 2 Thrive is a community-driven program that supports motivated individuals in moving out of poverty through coaching, training, and ongoing support. By partnering with volunteers, organizations, and local businesses, Strive 2 Thrive offers a “hand-up, not a hand-out,” helping Albany families work toward long-term self-sufficiency and stability.

Albany Housing Authority (AHA) provides safe, affordable rental housing, Section 8 vouchers, and homeownership opportunities for low-income families, the elderly, and individuals with disabilities. Serving Dougherty County, AHA also offers community support services and works to strengthen neighborhoods.
