We want to share an important update about this year’s Georgia Milestones Assessment (GMAS) scores for English Language Arts (ELA).
Due to new ELA standards and changes to the assessment, the state of Georgia is taking additional time to score and review the tests. Because of this, ELA scores from Spring 2026 will not be released until November 2026.
Please note that this delay is happening across the entire state and is not specific to our school.
We know how important this information is, and we will share your child’s results as soon as they become available. In the meantime, we will continue to support your child’s learning and growth in the classroom. If you have any questions, feel free to reach out. Thank you for your continued support!

UREGENT: There will be no Art Club today! Scholars are to go home there normal way. There will be the End of the Year Party on May 6th after school.

All 5th grade scholars will be taking their final GMAS test of the school year TOMORROW! Please ensure your scholar gets a good night's rest, eats a healthy breakfast in the morning and arrives to school no later than 7:50am. They can leave their bookbags at home as well.

Merry Acres has an interest meeting for football tomorrow. Please see the letter below.
We will be holding an interest meeting for all parents and student-athletes on Friday, April 17, at 5:00 PM in the gymnasium. We encourage everyone to attend as we will discuss the practice schedule and other important information.
The tentative practice schedule is as follows:
Monday, April 20, and Tuesday, April 21: Practices will be held at Merry Acres.
Wednesday, April 22 - Friday, April 24: Practices will be held at the Westover Practice Field.
The game against Albany Middle School will take place on Saturday, April 25, 2026, at 10:00 AM at Westover. Please note that only two middle school football programs, Albany Middle and Merry Acres Middle, are participating.
