On February 27, the ASU Nursing Department led an interactive heart awareness workshop for Westover’s Academy of Medical Arts and HOSA students. From discussing how stress and sleep affect the heart to competing in knowledge games, students got a deep dive into cardiovascular health. The day wrapped up with hands-on stations featuring heart models, case studies, and blood-flow tracing.
This event is the precursor to Westover AMA's March Wellness Month focusing on health awareness through activity, diet and exercise by “Choosing Progress, Not Perfection.”
