Electronic Device

Electronic Device Policy:

The Dougherty County School System is committed to providing a focused, engaging, and distraction free learning environment where all students can thrive academically and socially. To support this goal and comply with state law, the Dougherty County Board of Education has adopted a new personal Electronic Device Policy that limits student access to personal electronic devices during the instructional day.

The information below will help parents and guardians understand the expectations and guidelines for electronic device use at school. By reducing distractions, increasing student engagement, encouraging face to face interactions, and maximizing instructional time, this policy supports an environment where students can stay focused on learning and success.
