Salter

ALBANY, Ga. — Dougherty Comprehensive High School ninth-grader Kelsey Salter earned 1st place in the nation in 9th Grade Social Studies at the 2025 National Beta Club Convention, marking a standout academic achievement for both her school and the Dougherty County School System.

Salter advanced to the national competition after winning 1st Place in 9th Grade Social Studies at the Georgia State Beta Club Convention earlier this year. She also earned 1st Place in Visual Arts – Digitally Enhanced Photography at the state level.

“This is an extraordinary accomplishment and a testament to Kelsey’s hard work, dedication, and academic excellence,” said district leaders. “Her achievement reflects the high expectations we hold for students and the strong instructional foundation provided at DCHS.”

The National Beta Club Convention brings together top academic performers from across the country, making Salter’s national win a significant distinction for the district.

The Dougherty County School System congratulates Kelsey, her family, and the DCHS Beta Club advisors for their leadership and commitment to student success.
