DELAYED START: After additional review of the weather forecast, and out of an abundance of caution, we will delay reporting times for students and employees by one hour on Thursday in order to give the weather system time to clear our area.

PARENT/TEACHER CONFERENCES - EARLY DISMISSAL: Please be reminded that Parent/Teacher Conferences and Early Dismissal is set for Feb. 1&2 this week. Pre-K and Elementary Schools will dismiss students at 12:30 p.m., Middle Schools at 1:30 p.m. and High Schools at 2:30 p.m. Please contact your school for details.
The district is closely monitoring an approaching storm system that has the potential to cause severe weather across the area tomorrow (Friday - 1/12/24). We will provide updates through our district mobile app and Remind as they become available.
After careful deliberation and consultation with state and local officials, the district has made the decision to cancel school for Tuesday, January 9, 2024 ahead of a potentially dangerous storm system that is set to move through our area. School operations will resume as normal on Wednesday, January 10, 2024. We encourage you to download the DCSS mobile app and Remind to get updates as they are communicated from the district office.

The Instructional Accountability Committee of the Dougherty County Board of Education will meet at 4 p.m. on Wednesday, September 13, 2023.
WEATHER UPDATE (8/29/2023, 4:30 p.m.) After conferring with local and state emergency management officials, out of an abundance of caution, Dougherty School System schools will be closed Wednesday, August 30th in anticipation of the arrival of severe weather associated with Hurricane Idalia. We will resume normal operations on Thursday, August 31st.
