
Good morning, Lake Park Families. We are looking for two parents to join our Local School Governance Team (LSGT). Please read the information below and email me at trina.bush@docoschools.org if you are interested in joining our team.
LSGT Member Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Attend a 2.5-hour training for new members.
2. Attend monthly meetings. Meetings are held at Lake Park or virtually and last approximately one hour.
3. Serve as a liaison between the school and the community.
4. Help create a culture of mutual respect and collaboration among stakeholders.

2. We had a great day kicking off our anual fundraiser. Your child has a lanyard with sign up information for Boosterthon. The next few days are going to be filled with fun as we discover new worlds and work together to raise $10,000 for Innovative Technology and student incentives.Every student will participate in the fun through a character-building program, event day, and school incentives. Here are a few things you can do to help us reach our big goals!

1. Classroom Orientation and PTO are tonight. For your convenience, we offer two sessions of orientation in your child's homeroom teacher's classroom. Session 1 is from 5:00 to 5:30, and Session 2 is from 6:00 to 6:30. Our PTO meeting will take place from 5:30 to 6:00 in the cafeteria. We hope you can join us. There will be an abundance of important information shared this evening.
2. We will have our previous year's LPE t-shirts for sale for $5.00 tonight. If you have not yet purchased this year's class t-shirt, please take an order form and return it tomorrow with $15 in cash.
3. Students cannot be dropped off or picked up in the alley, street, or behind the teacher parking area. Parents must drive through the circular drive or park at 3 Oaks and walk their child to the front door. Parents are not permitted to park in the alley during arrival or dismissal, as the alley is for daycare van drop off and pick up.
4. Have a wonderful Thursday!

Your child may report that our building was hot today. The district facilities department is aware and is working with a local company to repair our air conditioning as soon as possible. Large fans were placed in the rooms without air conditioning to keep our little Lakers more comfortable.

1. Students will wear uniforms tomorrow. We are thrilled to see our boys and girls in their sharp new uniforms! Next Friday, students can wear jeans and LPE t-shirts.
2. Students should be in the building by 7:45. They are expected to be in their seats and ready for academics when the tardy bell rings at 8:00.
3. Extended Day will be at Lake Park and is provided by the Albany Recreation & Parks Department. See the flyer for more information.
4. Parents can walk students to their classrooms tomorrow.
5. We are excited to partner with each of you for the BEST SCHOOL YEAR EVER! See you in the morning.

4. Breakfast is served daily from 7:15-7:40 at no cost. Students who arrive after 7:40 will not be offered breakfast.
