This October, we’re celebrating Bullying Prevention Month with the theme “You Belong Here.”
We’re helping students learn the power of kindness, friendship, and including others.
Ask your child: “What’s one way you made someone feel like they belonged today?”
Small acts of kindness make a big difference — at school and at home. -DCSS

October Friday Snacks
Happy Friday, Lake Park Parents! We had a wonderful parent meeting last night. I am sharing the slides for those who could not attend.
1. Georgia Milestones Information: http://bit.ly/46JUYjE
2. Annual Title One Information: http://bit.ly/46vgzeq
3. All In LPE Parents, presented by Soy Garvey: http://bit.ly/4gxmILT

We had our first lockdown / intruder drill today. Our students did an outstanding job. Procedures were taught in the classroom and reviewed on the morning show. We have an automated intercom system that reinforces procedures throughout the drill. We have completed two fire drills and one intruder drill this school year. Safety drills are scheduled at least once a month. Our students are learning to be proactive!

Have a wonderful weekend!

Early Dismissal for Parent Teacher Conferences occurs tomorrow and Friday. Car rider dismissal will begin at 12:00. Buses should arrive by 12:30. Extended Day will open at dismissal.

If you have not turned in your August utility bill, please do so this week. You can send the original or email the bill to your teacher or to Mrs. Dowdy at jennifer.dowdy@docoschools.org. If the utility bill is not in your name, you and the person you live with must take your IDs to the board office to see Officer Frazier.

Good afternoon, Lake Park Families,
Have you provided your utility bill? We are missing about half of our families. Each family is required to provide an updated utility bill annually as proof of residency. If you have already provided yours, thank you! If not, the original August utility bill must be provided asap. Please write your child's name on the bill. The secretary will make a copy and return the original. If the bill is not in your name, you and the person that you live with must take your IDs to the Board of Education and see Office Frazier.
Schools are required to submit a list of families who have not provided the required documentation. Please help us by sending this documentation to the office tomorrow so that your child’s enrollment at Lake Park will not be interrupted. Thank you!
