Good afternoon, Lake Park families. This is a reminder that Thursday and Friday are early release days for parent conferences. We will begin dismissal at 12:00. Thank you.

Based on current conditions, the amount of ice that remains on the road still poses a risk to the safe transportation of students to school during the early morning hours. For that reason, we will cancel school operations for Friday.

WEATHER CLOSURE: Based on the current conditions, it’s not likely that Tuesday’s historic snowfall will melt away before temperatures drop again tonight, which could lead to unsafe road conditions for our buses Thursday morning. Out of an abundance of caution, the DCSS will close schools Thursday with plans to reopen Friday.

Good afternoon families. Due to the timing of the coming winter weather, DCSS has made the decision to close school operations on Tuesday and Wednesday. School will resume on Thursday morning. Be safe and stay warm.

WEATHER INFO: The district is monitoring an approaching cold front that has the potential to bring snow and ice to our area next week. We will provide updates on our official channels - website, mobile app, SMS and Rooms -- if there are any changes to school operations.
