We are pleased to report that the Westover Band Department and the Westover Band Boosters have successfully hosted the 2nd USBands STATS Georgia Championship last weekend. We had a total of 6 bands participating from across the state.

The Westover Marching Patriots fell short in the White Division earning 2nd Place overall, but also won the following categories:

Best Drum Major
Best Auxiliary/Colorguard
Best Percussion Section

The Westover Marching Patriots will be traveling to Memphis, TN next month for the USBands STATS Grand Championship!

Our HOSA Trunk or Treat for Autism event was a great success! Our HOSA members did an amazing job passing out candy, hosting games, and offering face painting for the kids. We also handed out sensory toys, which were a big hit with many of the children.

We had one vehicle decorated as the Cookie Monster, and our own HOSA trunk featured a fun spider web theme with spiders; both were crowd favorites!

It was a wonderful opportunity for our members to serve the community and spread awareness in a fun and inclusive way.

James Fudge (Class of 2025) and his mom wore red on the steps of the U.S. Capitol to speak with congressional leaders as they advocate with the American Heart Association American Heart Association - Georgia for funding for the Hearts Act for more AED'S and related equipment in schools across the nation, more CPR & AED training, the development of cardiac emergency response plans, and research on cardiac arrests and emergencies. #HeartPowered #HeartsontheHill #NationofLifesavers #AccesstoAEDS #CPRwithHeart #SuddenCardiacArrestAwareness

Qe'asia Arnold has been honored as the 2025 Honorary Creative Director for the Harlem Renaissance Project. Her win in their design competition, In Every Renaissance the Artists Lead the Way, speaks volumes about her exceptional creativity, artistic excellence, and authentic connection to Albany’s Harlem District.

This major accomplishment will be revealed publicly tonight, Thursday, October 23rd, at 7:00 PM ET.

We encourage you, her family, friends, and supporters to tune in and celebrate this milestone!

We had a wonderful time at our Math & Science Showcase this evening! Thank you to the math and science teachers and their students who engaged us with their subjects and to all of the families who attended the event! Thank you to our Parent Facilitator, Ms. Shelton, for working to engage our families with our school! It's the best at the West!!!

Georgia State Fair Art Competition: Our Westover Art Club students have done it again! They participated in the prestigious statewide event and, once more, came home on top, earning top awards.
