To maintain a safe, healthy, and focused learning environment—especially as we head into testing season—we would like to remind all students and parents of our campus policy regarding baked goods.
🚫 NO BAKED GOODS ON CAMPUS: Students are prohibited from bringing or selling any type of baked goods (homemade or store-bought) on school grounds. This includes cookies, brownies, cakes, and similar treats.
💼 UNAUTHORIZED SALES: Please be reminded that unauthorized sales of any kind are strictly prohibited at Albany Middle School.

Attention AMS Family,
As we prepare for the upcoming GA Milestones, our number one goal is the safety and security of every student. To maintain a focused and secure testing environment, we are implementing a new bag policy on campus.
📅 EFFECTIVE MONDAY, APRIL 20, 2026
The following items will NO LONGER BE ALLOWED on campus:
🎒 All Backpacks (including clear, mesh, and solid canvas)
🎒 Bookbags & Drawstring bags
👜 Large Purses or Totes
💼 Large Bags or Carrying Cases (anything similar in nature to a briefcase or duffel)
✅ WHAT IS ALLOWED?
Students are permitted to bring one small personal purse or clutch.
⚠️ PLEASE NOTE: THE SCHOOL IS NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR UNATTENDED BANNED BACKPACK OR BAGS!

On April 4th, we proudly observe National School Librarian Day to recognize the dedicated professionals who keep our school libraries in perfect working order. Today, the Albany Middle School family is honored to celebrate our very own, Mrs. Daughety!
School librarians spend long hours keeping the library organized, but their impact goes much further. They are deeply dedicated to helping our children find the resources they need to continue learning and growing.
The theme for 2026 is "Find Your Joy!" and we see that joy reflected in our media center every day. Libraries are so much more than just shelves of books.

AMS Family, join us in saluting our Albany Middle School Baseball Team! After an incredible run through the 2025-2026 season, our Indians finished as the Deep South Conference Runner-Up.
While we came up just a bit short in the championship game, this team showed heart, hustle, and true Indian pride every step of the way. They have officially given us all "Baseball Fever!"

* Our Players for their hard work on the diamond from the first pitch in February to the final out in March.
